Cyclist dies following collision with car in central Canberra
A cyclist has died following a collision with a car in the Molonglo Valley this afternoon.
Just after 2.30pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports police responded to reports of a collision on Lady Denman Drive, adjacent to the Glenloch interchange.
Emergency services treated a 37-year-old cyclist at the scene before they were transported to the Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of emergency service personnel the cyclist died shortly after.
The driver of the BMW is assisting police with their enquiries.
ACT Road Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigating the circumstances of the collision, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
