Two transported to hospital following crash on the Federal Highway
Two people have been transported to hospital following a crash in Bywong this afternoon.
At about 1pm, ACT and NSW emergency services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on the Federal Highway near the intersection of Shingle Hill Way.
ACT and NSW Ambulance Service paramedics assessed and treated two people at the scene, one of which remained trapped by injury for a short time before they were able to be loaded onto a stretcher.
Both persons were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
ACT Fire and Rescue attended the scene for rescue but were not required.
The Federal Highway was closed for several hours in the northbound direction until the scene was cleared.
NSW Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
