A motorcyclist has been seriously injured following a crash in Majura early this morning.

At about 6.15am, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on the Majura Parkway.

Emergency services arrived to find that a motorcycle had left the road crashed through a fence and ended up on the adjoining bike path.

ACT Ambulance Service treated the person on scene and they were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

ACT Policing’s Major Collision Team attended the scene and have commenced an investigation into the crash.

The Majura Parkway southbound and the on-ramp from Tambreet Street was partially obstructed until the scene was cleared.
