Police investigate home invasion and arson in Kambah

Police have launched an investigation following a house fire in Kambah overnight.

At about 9:30pm, ACT Emergency Services responded to reports of a house on fire in Paull Place.

The fire was quickly extinguished by ACT Fire and Rescue, however the home was extensively damaged. All of the occupants of the home were able to escape the fire before emergency services arrived.

One person was treated on scene by ACT Ambulance Service paramedics nd transported to hospital in a stable condition

AN ACt Policing spokesperson said that Police have received information that there was an alleged home invasion by multiple persons prior to the fire and that the fire was deliberately lit by one of those people.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the fire, or who may have dash-cam footage from the area before or during the fire.
